We are stuck stuck stuck in Argentina.

Those lovely people who sold us the bus tickets in Buenos Aires assured yes yes, the Andean pass to Santiago is rarely closed and only takes two hours to clear. It`s been closed for ten days now. And with flights at 260 US we`re trapped on the wrong side of the Andes.
With so little time left (I`ll be home in two and a bit weeks-utterly insane...) we`re heading back North through Argentina, hoping to find another route through the mountains. There are buses from Salta (about 20/22 hours away) but they`re only twice a week, and very likely to be booked up- it`s a near certainty we`re going back to Bolivia. Yay!
And nay. Bolivia = ridiculously cheap. Bolivian people = no logic. Bolivian roads = don`t be daft.
two weeks? I can`t believe it! I can`t wait, but I`ve got so much left to do!
Anyways, yesterday was brill- an altitude trek along Arroyo del Silencio and then a climb to the top of Chacritas Mount, followed up by an abseil through Garganta del Silencio- the gorge of silence. Argentinian mountains are really quite something!

Today I tested my Spanish to the limits and got my haircut. Hrm.
